Chances for NYU CAS ED

Hi: I’m Phil(lip) Vollman, and I’m a rising senior at a high school in Fairfax County, Virginia, who is applying early decision to New York University’s College of Arts and Science. I am an IB diploma candidate with a 3.8 u/w and a 4.3 w on a 4.0 scale. I am taking all IB courses. I am currently taking a Summer@Brown course in biotechnology. I have been very involved in theatre since I was a freshman (and years before that). I am an actor, singer, director, set builder, and lighting designer (the latter is a job that my county pays me for). I was a missionary in the Dominican Republic last year, and this year I am working with an economic development effort in Southwestern Virginia. I am a genuine and sincere person who “fell in love” with NYU when I visited at the end of my sophomore year. I plan on writing a dynamo essay!
My SAT scores will end up being given to NYU as a 1970—I cannot take the SAT again because I am applying ED. However, when I first took the ACT I received a 32 and I plan to take it again in September.
Other things: I’m a Cappie Critic who has been published in a non-school newspaper, I’m adopted, I have extended time on the ACT, I won’t be able to get much financial aid.
Other Schools I’m applying to:
Brown, Columbia, UVA, William and Mary, VCU,
