Do i have any chance at going to a good college

My grades to this point are pretty low, and on CC look like morons grades. My freshman and first three marking periods of my sophomore year, i was influenced greatly by my idiot friends and put absolutely zero effort into school. When i realized that a senior classmate in my Honors American lit class had a 4.4 GPA and was going to Johns Hopkins, something went off in my mind that I needed to get my **** together. So my 4th MP I had all grades A or A- and a B in Spanish. I just finished my final exams and I think they'll be pretty good. But my lack of effort seems to be biting me hard in the ass reading on here.

Are my dreams of going somewhere like Syracuse, Maryland,Miami, Tulane, (My current "match" schools") crushed?

My freshman year grades:
Intro to business: A-
CP Spanish 2- B+
Gym/Health-A
CP Physics- C-
English 9-B-
CP Algebra 2/Trig- D+
World History- B-
Computer Apps/Freshman Rhetoric- B+

Overall GPA- 2.78 (B- at my school is 2.7)

this year

Honors American Lit- B+
CP Spanish- C or B-
Foods- A-
Gym/Health- A-
CP Chem- C or B (started out with F, went up to C, C, then A 4th MP)
Geometry- B+
TVP- A-
US History 1- B
Cumulative GPA- About 3.0,

Next year I hopefully will be in Honors Modern Fiction, Honors Management, Honors US 2, and AP Gov.

I am aiming for htis to be my list when I apply next summer:
Safetys:
Arizona
Seton Hall/Rutgers/Instate NJ school

Match:
Miami
Tulane
Syracuse
UMD
UConn

match/reach:
villanova

Reach:
NYU
USC
UMich

Have I any Chance!!!!????

I'd say you're in decent shape for Tulane, Miami, and your safeties.
Also think about going to a community college for a year or two. If you do well there, your chances are a lot high as college GPA will be more relevant to transfers.

You've got some low grades but you've also got some high grades. Especially if you get good grades from here on then yes, you will get into a good college.

thanks guys. yeah, i really hope to keep my upward trend going. at full effort, i could be a straight A student.

Just noticed my broken English up there. Anyway, just keep up the good GPA and apply to your dream schools. I'm sure you'll get into at least one.

i think pandem is completely incorrect.

these are all reaches. your GPA is on the low end. i would say get your grades up as high as you possibly can for a shot.

uconn is definitely the most feasible, however.

Arizona State accepts what, like 90% of people who apply? I'm sure he can get in there.

And I don't quite know how you think Seton Hill and Rutgers are harder to get into than UConn.
