do schools change who you are?

Seriously, i think there are people who change after they got in to a certain school. Some people think they are the shiznitz because they could get in to their dream school. Do any of you know such people? people who become conceited after they transfer/got in to some prestigious school?

Yes. A friend of mine became an elitist a**wipe after he got into Georgetown. He’s high and mighty to everyone now.

This is a private-message that you sent me, pellman. I would paste the response, which I thought was informative and helpful.

I deliver the truth by factual data. That I do not prettify my posts with platitudes does not make me arrogant or elitist. That I argue that CCs are lower than top tier universities also does not make me arrogant or elitist – it is just a fact. If you have a problem with it, go ahead and disagree with me. I do not care.

But what you should not do is criticize someone who helped you sincerely; I guess next time I will append my post with smilies and “LOLs,” but you should never bite the hand that feeds. That act, in and of itself, substantiates further the notion of arrogance and disingenuousness than your comical misapplication of the former term to my behavior.

oh what? lol collegeconfidential drama?
