<p>omg im so mad right now. I got a FREAKIN 92 on my mid-term and its crazy because i have never had lower than a 98 in all of my classes. My parents have just grounded me for 2 weeks and said that if i dont pull it up to atleast a 97 ill be dead:( Thing is that the class is ap chemistry and chemistry isnt my strongest subject…so i dont know if i will be able to get that 97!</p>

<p>Colleges might not have lists per se, but admissions reps have to know their high schools well as part of their job, so they know which high schools are harder than other ones. Plus the counselor sends in a profile of your school with GPA, SAT scores, a list of all possible courses, etc. to help the admissions rep. with that part of the job</p>

<p>My poor Indian friend’s parents grounded him from homecoming a couple of days before it because he got a B for the quarter in AP Calc, lol.</p>
<p>Yep, there definitely are those parents who ground their kids for getting 97s. Personally, I find it really sick/depressing. But about half of Stuyvesant is like that. You wonder how these kids turn out, emotionally.</p>

<p>Parents acting like that seems pretty horrible… a bad grade won’t matter once you’re in college, and a 92 isn’t even a bad grade. Shouldn’t parents place emphasis on more important things?</p>
