Engineering at Emory

I know Emory doesn't have an Engineering major in its college but there seems to be a partnership with Georgia Tech. I have no clue as to how good this works out since it is a 5year program. So, Im just wondering how it is from people that know a lot about it or participated in it.

I want to do engineering as a major and then head on to med school. So, would Emory be even a good choice to apply to?

Why not go straight engineering at GaTech, Rice or Duke? All have top shelf bioengineering programs. Duke engineers collaborate with researchers at Duke Medical Center, which is on campus. Rice undergrads have research opportunities in the adjacent Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world.
