Engineer's Degree

I am currently a student at the University of Glasgow. I am thinking of doing an Engineer’s Degree when I graduate with MEng. My target is to work in industry, so I do not want to do a PhD. Is an Engineer’s Degree worth doing? I know that MIT offers it but how about any other good schools (I am interested in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). Is extensive research experience as essential as in PhD admissions?

I do not know much about admissions in the US but does the fact that I would be an international applicant decrease my chances in any significant way?
