Fun?

I know Penn is considered the "social ivy" but what does that mean? If i got to wharton, will i have the time of my life outside of class?

College is what you make it. More specifically, Penn is what you make it. There are tons of opportunities here, but no one is going to hold your hand along the way. You are in a big city, surrounded by very intelligent peers, and on a campus with a very active Greek scene. It's a social ivy in that students are most likely to spend their weekends getting together with friends and doing whatever tickles their fancies. There are always events planned each week, and you can get information about these by walking down Locust Walk. Alternatively, you can hole yourself up in your dorm room and nobody is going to care. If you're looking for fun, you'll likely find it at Penn.
