<p>The average GPA is about what, 4.2W, so you can figure out what kind of grades you need.</p>

<p>to be safe just get straight As… even that prolly won’t gurantee admission</p>

<p>Maybe your past threads about the same topic will tell you a little more, since the answer isn’t going to change. Unless you have a major sob story or cured cancer, you aren’t going to get in without good grades and a competitive SAT.</p>

<p>Averages are simply that. People get in with different gpa’s and test scores. Just apply and give it your best shot. If your family situation affected your grades, mention it on the application. I know at least one or two people who got in with less than a UC 4.0 last year. Good luck.</p>
