I was just accepted to the class of 2016. The advice that @midatl_dd gave is awesome, and really all that you can do. What Harvard wants is someone who puts passion into the things they do. They want someone who takes advantages of the opportunities that they have. As for classes, just challenge yourself as much as possible; there is no set formula for which classes will get you accepted. As a freshman, you should focus on what will make you the best version of yourself possible, not what you think a “Harvard student” is.
Furthermore, don’t go to Harvard just because it is the #1 school, find a real, personal reason why you would be good for Harvard and why Harvard would be good for you.

Final piece of advice: Find out who you are in high school; that isn’t something that will happen if you try to mold yourself into a “Harvard student.”
