How to Get Tix to Mens BBall?

The men’s Seton Hall game won’t be super crazy because, frankly, SHU won’t be great this year. It will be tougher to get tickets because it is a Saturday night Big East game, but since it isn’t a marquee opponent, I think they’ll be some floating around.

It is true that the women’s game won’t give you the same experience as a men’s game. There are occasional games that have nice crowds for women, and some that have been very fun, but on average, it pales in comparison. The women’s team is also coming off a unexpectedly disappointing season last year so I’m not sure how that will affect crowds this season. They do typically draw a couple of thousand.

The cool thing is that 1/15 has both the women’s Notre Dame game at 2pm, so you could make it a double header with the men’s game at 7pm. Because of the smaller women’s crowd, you’d be able to sit in the lower bowl for the women, move around, and maybe even sit in the student section to get an idea what the seats are like for students next to the floor, because you will most likely not be near the students if you get tickets for the 7pm SHU game.

That’s a lot of time to spend on basketball though, and there are a ton of things to see at Pitt: Cathedral of Learning Nationality Rooms, Heinz Chapel, Carnegie Museums of Natural Science and Art, Phipps Conservatory…

PM me and I’d be happy to discuss tickets, things to do in more detail.
