<p>Possible, but these colleges have very low transfer admission rates. He’d have better luck at universities like UChicago and Georgetown that have more openings for transfers. Check the rates at collegeboard.com.</p>

<p>Maybe adequate was the wrong word. But when he used the finacial aid calculator harvard and yale showed the best package in term of amount of loans and emplyment that would be needed to cover his education. I however am sure that other school can provide more than adequate aid for him. But very few schools can provide on this level.</p>

<p>Chances not good. They do not take many transfers. He can give it a try but if he really wants to leave Stoneybrook, he should try some more realistic schools.
Cornell is an ivy that takes transfers and gives them aid. Many schools do not have much aid for transfers even when they are needblind for undergrads.</p>
