I got a certificate of recognition from my math teacher for having one of the highest grade in all his classes. Is this worth mentioning in my application to PSU as I have nothing else to put?

go ahead, doesnt hurt. might even help a bit.

I’m sorry, but your math teacher made up little certificates to give to her students in a high school class?

Yes that is right.

No reflection on you, but it has a certain “gold star” quality to it. It wouldn’t hurt to put it in the app, but what is the title?

I would put it…it can’t hurt you.

I went to PSU! They hosted the All Northeastern Band Festival…it was pretty nice there. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but pretty nice.

The title says “Certificate of Recognition”

Sure, that would work

Put “Math” in front of it and put the name of your high school after it.

What exactly am I suppose to wrote on the app? “Math Certificate of Recognition at HS For Environmental Studies”?

Is that the name of your high school? I was thinking more like “Math Certificate of Recognition - Central HS”.

Well, is this like a department thing? At our school, they gather us around and every math, science, language, and art teacher gives them out to the kid with the highest grade. They’re just dorky little certificates, but I must have like 7 or 8 of em, and I have 2 more years to collect em. I’m gonna use lots of those in awards section.

just put it… if is is not looked at, big deal

wish i’d thought of that - like everyone’s said, definately put it, it can’t hurt.

“Is that the name of your high school? I was thinking more like “Math Certificate of Recognition - Central HS”.”

Yes HS For Environmental Studies is my HS.

Just put “Math Certificate of Recognition - 11th grade”.
