Hi…I applied to eight colleges but half of them are Ivies! Is this unreasonable? By the way, I applied to Yale (deferred), Harvard (for my mother), Dartmouth, U Penn, Boston University, University of Virginia, University of Washington, and Baylor University (accepted). Maybe I should knock myself in the head…goes off to find the nearest wall

Can you still apply to a state school with a late application date or with rolling admissions?

The ivies and UVA (out-of-state) are not match schools for anybody. I doesn’t look like that bad a list. As long as you know that you are accepted somewhere and you would be happy going there, then it doesn’t hurt to apply to long (even extremely long) reaches just to hope for the best. The other schools look like match schools for a person applying to ivies. I have not gone back looking for your stats.

lkf725: Some schools have deadlines of 2/15 or even later. A list of colleges with rolling admissions is at:

well… you’re in somewhere… so why are you worrying?

What’s wrong with 4 ivies? that’s common/uncommon. Some apply to all 8. That is crazy. You should get into BU.

Good info from dufus3709! I know Case has a late application deadline, around mid-February.

thanks for the advice everybody…you have to forgive me but please understand that in my school I probably am the one who applied to the most Ivies… I guess I got paranoid. anyway, thanks. ^_^
