<p>when you say if ivies compare as in do the eight talk to each other, or within their pool do they compare. Because if you’re referring to the latter, then I would have to agree with etselec that they do this even if they might not define it as such.</p>
<p>I doubt that they discuss every single applicant or even “trade” applicant acceptances. Each college wants the best student body it can get, no matter what. I do believe, however, that schools with Early Decision programs send out a list of the people they’ve accepted to other high caliber schools. Other than that, the Ivies are just so swamped with applications they don’t want to put in the time or effort to discuss applicants with each other.</p>
