hi everyone…

i have kind of complicated situation and i would really like to see what you guys think about it…

i got to the united states 6 months ago, since then, i have been really nervous about my chances to get into a REALLY good university… i was really thinking about an Ivy League University…

for making it short… i got here in my junior year… but never did sophomore year…
yeah…just as you are reading it… one year freshman… the other junior…

so i don’t have a good freshman year(in Colombia i just was not to dedicated…)… no sophomore year… but when i got here… well… i didn’t know anything about the system…
(never heard about GPA, SAT, AP or extracurricular activities…)

my school did NOT let me get AP classes in my junior year because they said i was not prepared… well… i have… English Honors(Honors difficulty is between AP and regular), Precalc Honors, US history regular, WLD history regular(have to do some sophomore stuff…)and 2 electives… coz i have no choice… don’t have elective credits and i need some for graduating…
so far… i have straight As in all of them… and i think i can do so much more

for my senior year i am planning to have 5 AP classes… if i get straight As in senior year…
my GPA will be in 1st semester of 4.3 and in 2nd 4.4

i took the PSAT and i feel really confident… i am going to do my best for getting a perfect score in the SAT…

i have some plans for my extracurricular activities that will show just what i need to show… not more… not less…but i am not that sure… i am new in this field…

so… as a conclusion… if i fulfill my promises of a perfect SAT good GPA and good extracurriculars… even thought i do not have sophomore year and not a good freshman year in Colombia(my counselor said it was not going to count in my GPA), and taking in count that i am Latino…(i’ve heard that being Latino helps a little XD)

do you guys think i have a chance?.. a little chance?.. something? no? help? tips? please?

and one extra question… can you apply to ivy league universities AFTER senior year? consequences?
