Middlebury, Vassar, Reed, Wesleyan, or WashU?

Choice is hard. I'm planning on majoring in English, hoping to have a career in writing or journalism after college. Also interested in many other areas - history, international studies, art, film studies. I'm sort of stuck in a rut. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

These schools are pretty dis-similar. Middlebury is probably the most conservative and rural of the LACs, while Vassar and Wesleyan way more liberal. WUSTL and Reed are polar opposites as WUSTL is about as pre-professional as any university is, while Reed is about 1/4 the size with a very intense academic bent to it.

What kind of environment are you looking for? The academic reputation of all these schools are close enough and yet atmosphere and student body disparate enough that I would focus on entirely on fit at this point. I personally think Middlebury or Wesleyan would be the most enjoyable well-rounded experience of the bunch, but completely depends on what you're trying to get as you must have had reasons to apply to those other schools.
