<p>I go to a private boarding school that does not report grades in a 4.0 fashion. They report grades based on a percentage scale. 85%, 95%, etc. However, the weighing based on classes isn’t adjusted for a 4 point GPA scale, and for difficult classes, weighing, if anything, is very little. </p>

<p>I had a 90.2 average unweighted last year and a 91.2 weighted last year, my junior year.</p>

<p>Freshman and Sophomore years I had 86% averages(weighing didn’t happen) with 2As and 4Bs as a Freshman and 5Bs and 1A as a Sophomore.</p>

<p>The caliber of the classes are considerably more difficult than in the same classes of any local public school. I have done well on my SATs, APs, and SATIIs. Will colleges take into account the difficulty of the class at the school somehow?</p>

<p>I’m sure that your school will provide the colleges with a profile of your school so they will be able to see your transcript in the context of your school. My kids go to a school that does not provide any type of GPA, they have narrative evaluations. Both my S’s were accepted at top 15 universities with such non-traditional transcripts. I’m sure your school can explain your grades in the context of your school and curriculum. Good luck!</p>
