Not taking challenging classes hurt me?

My gpa is 3.76 and I scored a 1910 on the sat. However, I did not take ANY honor classes until my senior year(idiot I know). This year I am taking Pre Calc honors and AP English. How much will not taking any honors classes hurt me? I feel if I did take honor classes my gpa would be high anyways but to late to find out... Will my sat scores and gpa overshadow my lack of honors classes? I am well capable but I am just too lazy and did not care enough like last year. Right now I am applying to umass, BU, and WNE.

It might hurt, because you are competing with other students, who might have taken honors courses earlier. I wouldn't worry too much because their acceptance rate is very high, and atleast you are taking some hard classes now. Your SAT will help a little in boosting your app, and so will your GPA. What's your weighted GPA?

Probably won't hurt that much with Umass, but it will hurt a lot with BU. I don't know anything about WME though.

Look at the Common Data Set for each school to find out (section C7). For instance BU's #1 criterion is class rigor. http://www.bu.edu/oir/files/2011/03/cds-c.pdf That would hurt you quite a bit.

My weighted gpa is 3.76.
