NYC colleges with good financial aid?

I attended UC Berkeley and withdrew in good standing (3.85 GPA) two years ago. I'd like to potentially transfer to a college in NYC, but I'm out-of-state and would need a lot of financial aid. There are so many colleges in NYC, so I would love some help narrowing down the list. I would most likely want to study English or advertising/marketing. Thank you.

In the City? Columbia alone, really.

Well, Cooper Union probably has the best financial aid of any school in NYC, and probably in the US.

But, they do not offer any of OP’s intended majors.

Hi again. Any other suggestions?

Here is a list of schools that claim to meet full need:

[Colleges That Claim to Meet Full Financial Need - US News and World Report](http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2012/02/16/colleges-that-claim-to-meet-full-financial-need)

The only NYC schools on that list are Barnard and Columbia.

OP, Colleges that meet full need will only be helpful if the schools feel you actually HAVE need. That depends on your family’s income and assets.
