<p>I understand that every school on my list is a reach due to my grades, what I’m interested in is a rough percentage for each school.</p>
<p>GPA: 2.95 (1.6 freshman year, up every year since then)
SAT II: 730 Math I, 720 US History
AP: US History - 4, and 4 AP’s this year
SAT I - 780 M 740 V 670 W</p>
<p>EC: Gay Straight Alliance, Diversity and Tolerance Club, Philosophy Club, Amnesty International, Captain of our Ultimate Team, selected to Massachusetts Ultimate all-star team and played for an adult club level Ultimate team.</p>
<p>Any sort of percentage odds would be helpful.

<p>I figure if I get into one of my reaches I would be happy going there, but if not I’d be happy going to UMass as well.</p>
<p>A lot of schools dont even look at freshman… can I see your progression trend? It looks like you should stand a chance with your great testing scores if its a steep and steady curve up.</p>
<p>what were u smoking freshman year? a 1.6!!! but i know uc schools dont count fresh grades (might wanna apply to a uc then) becuase ur 2.9 (what ever it is) would go to a 3. something very fast without the 1.6. </p>

<p>I took probably 80-90% honors and AP s in the core classes, but my grades are clearly the weakest point in my application.</p>
<p>Also, I’ve assumed that while my SAT of 2190 is good, the fact that I have a 1520 on the two old ones looks even better, since I’ve heard that they don’t count writing as much as the other two.</p>

<p>this guy is gonna have a hard time…his GPA is extremely low for schools like bucknell Wisc Tufts and BC…GPA is the number 1 factor that colleges look at…ya he may show progression but even his highest GPA is WAY too low for these schools.</p>
<p>There is no way for anyone to give you a percentage, and if someone does, dont believe them because thats impossible to pin down. If you had to ask me, id say you need to find some solid safeties before you apply to these schools. </p>
<p>Its very unlikely you will get into these schools, you just dont have the package that schools like bucknell BC and tufts look for. You SAT scores are great, im not taking away from that…but they wont accept you based on good SAT scores and a dismal GPA. </p>
<p>Also straying from grades, most of your EC’s (and i may be wrong) seem to be just kindve clubs you became a part of. If you did something special with these clubs you need to tell us that. The way it stands it just seems like you were just a part of them and just went to meetings to talk about stuff. </p>
<p>If you had the GPA, you would seem like just an average candidate for a school like Tufts or BC…nothing really stands you out</p>
<p>However, DO NOT under any circumstances decide not to apply to any of those schools you listed. Throw in the application anyway and see what happens…what i stated above was just an opinion, im no adcom. </p>
<p>Your best bet is to find some safeties but throw in your app to those schools…whats the worst that could happen? You get rejected…o well theres always my other schools then. So good luck to you…I hope things work out.</p>

<p>Just a little note though, I actually just got into Wisconsin-Madison this morning after I posted that.</p>
<p>For the most part you’re right about my EC’s, except for the ultimate frisbee, in which case I got extremely involved.</p>
<p>Essentially my plan of action was to apply to 6 or so reaches, with the hopes of getting into one of them. I realized that my grades would reduce my chances ay all of the schools, but figured that even if I had a 5-10% chance at those schools, then I’d still have like a 40% chance at getting into one of them.</p>
<p>Also, my safety is lined up (UMass/now Wisconsin).</p>
<p>hmm…i wonder to…but i dontt know how ne one can get a 1.6 i had the same gpa for freshman year that she has all together and i thought i did bad i met someone who had a worse Freshman year(i had a 2.95 GPA Freshman year) and i have a rising trend to first quater this year gpa: 3.6 second quater 3.4 obviously i wolnt be getting in a top school but seriously my parents r very proud of my improvement and expect me in a decent college)</p>
