<p>I am seriously in shock at my rejection. I expected a deferral.
I am Mexican/Dominican. I have a 4.23 weighted GPA. >30 ACT. I am President of the Sparrow Club of our school and Key Club officer. I am also directing a video on recruiting minorities into IB/AP classes. I am full IB. I had an internship during the summer, where I had to create an original demo and my advisor said it was the best one she has seen in 12 years. I also volunteer regularly whenever I have the chance. I had a difficult childhood. My father was a drug addict, alcoholic, and spent time in prison. I have over 400 hours of volunteer work. I am involved in MECha. I am also involved in one of my community’s food projects, where I am one of the leaders. What am I missing? Seriously, anybody? I can’t believe this. It hurts me.</p>
