<p>I am so confused about what to write for this prompt.
Could you guys give me an idea on what to write about?
Though I have so much passion for engineering, I cannot think of a single idea I can write about. Max: 500 words
I would really appreciate if you guys can help me out.

<p>Engineers turn ideas (technical, scientific, mathematical) into reality. Tell us about your interest in engineering or an
engineering idea you have. Explain how our engineering department can help you further explore this interest or idea.</p>
<p>Try not to think of it as an official essay. If your uncle or grandfather asked you why you wanted to be an engineer, what would you say ? Write down what you would say in explaining it to a relative or friend, and adapt it into a college essay.</p>
<p>What is a problem that you see that you would like to solve? Think of the problem first, then come up with the engineering ideas. For example- traffic: use computer simulation, video monitoring, satellite imaging. Sound pollution: you could get into materials engineering, soundproofing techniques. Ecological waste: chemical engineering for cleaner manufacturing, less wasteful packaging, etc.</p>
