Quick Qs about UC App -- URGENT

How do I select minors? If I wanted to major in engineering and minor in business, how can I note that on my application?

For the third SAT II, I have an 800 in Chinese (native language) and much lower score, in comparison, on Chem. Since I’m planning to major in engineering, should I use the poorer Chem score or the 800 Chinese? I know an official score report will be sent anyway, but there’s only room for three SAT IIs on the application itself.

What are your recommendations for good UC San Diego colleges (need to rank from 1-6, and I have no idea how each of those are).

Much thanks!

You can’t select minors on the UC application. I think you’d have to do that once your attending the school.

If your chem score is below 700, but your Chinese, but if your score is above 700 put your chem.

I’m confused with your 3rd question. Rank the UC’s or the colleges within UCSD, i think engineering and the sciences are the strongest in ucsd

typo*put your chinese

I don’t know about your Chinese score. Alot of the kids applying to UCs are Asian, and will most likely have perfect or near-perfect SAT II Chinese scores, so it might not stand out that much. Depends on how low your chem score is, you might want to consider putting chem into chinese. However, that’s only my opinion so I don’t know if it’s true or not.

As for the UCSD colleges, I’m not very sure. But Eleanor Roosevelt has a sushi bar! :P

You can write you got 800 in Chinese in the additional comments section on Step 7.

The UCB brochure says: It is recommended that Engineering applicants take the SAT-II Mathematics Levell IIC Test, and a third SAT-II Subject Test in a physical science." Thus, unless you have physics SATII, Chem s/b included.
