Referencing Another Essay

If I have two essays for a particular college, and I reference one in the other, like "As mentioned in [other essay], I... blah blah blah" to avoid repeating myself, would that be considered a faux pas by the admissions crew?

I don't think so. it's a good way to be succinct.

no..don't reference. Flipping to look at another piece of writing might frustrate the adcom....keep them happy and your essays "distinct".

further,, your 2 essays may be read by different people.. that wil create a mess

It's not the same adcom reading all of them? Isn't that how they get an idea of who you are?

i wouldnt know really... im just saying, its a possibility.. for example, if you write on a scientific topic and write a very poetic essay... different people in those fields of expertise will read them.. and rate them and make notes ehether you are special or whatever...

Please correct me if I am bs-ing...
