SATs don't mean everything!

I got into wharton with a 1930 on my SATs…so they don’t mean everything in the application…

p.s. 32 ACT

I think they looked at your ACT scores. I got a 2070 on my SAT with a 690 in math and I still got into SEAS. SATs are not everything, to say the least!

URM, thelui?

Two Words: Holistic Approach.

one word: OHIO

one werd ACCEPTANCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHARTONNNNNNNNNNNNN

ok dats twoo lol

o0o0 i got into wharton with a 1910, I beat u :D

how did you get in with a 1910 :frowning: i was rejected with a 1980

Pyar, dude…I would have honestly thought that a 600W score wouldn’t hurt you because without the writing, you have good SATS??? Penn is stupid for that…but let me tell you something—you’re going someplace kickass next year even if it’s not Wharton—apply to other top biz schools like NYU Stern, Notre Dame Mendoza, UVA—all are really excellent. The rest of us are going to suffer next year with so much competition—Merry Christmas

Well simply because Sat’s aren’t all they go by but you’ll be fine a 1980 is good enough to get you into plenty of top schools so cheer up.

lol, ya, I was rejected from wharton with 2200 sats, 3.8-3.9 GPA, great teacher and counselor recs, and I started a habitat for humanity chapter at our school, and I had my supervisor write me a rec as well, so ya… great extracurriculars, summers had meaningful activities. I honestly never tried to be well rounded, it just happened, but wow, pretty surprised, dissapointed and confused…

oh well… congrats to all of you that got in. : )

I got into wharton as 1/408 in my class, with a 2310 on my SAT I’s, a 790 and 750 on my II’s, five 5’s on my AP tests, 6 AP courses in my senior year, an A+ average, 13 extracurriculars, minority status, alumni status, 2 varsity sports, and a national merit scholarship semifinalist (pot’l finalist). But the only reason i got in was because I applied early decision…

^ u think ur cool or something?

sats are everything. but theyre not the only thing. if all you’ve got is good test scores, you’re not good enough for these places.

sat’s are meaningless, anyone who takes a class or takes the test a dozen times can get a 2310 :D

To strengthen the argument, I got a 2050 (610 Verbal) and I got into Wharton this year! Thank GOD and thank Penn for their “Holistic Approach”!

A friend of mine got into yale with a 1860 and no hook at all… SATs dont count that much!!!

Even though… I got a 2010 and got deferred from Wharton, should I retake it? I know they are meaningless, but should I retake them?

For goodness sakes. A 1900 will not keep you out of any school, I guarantee you. (If the rest of your app is fine.)
And a 2400 will not get you into an Ivy. It may, however, get you into a small state school willing to give you a full scholarship.
SATs matter, but definitely not as much as people think. SAT scores are all over the place in acceptances.

Bernardlow - the SATs may not be meaningless to non-Ivies, so maybe you should take it again.

I think collegeboard needs to just admit that all they care about is money.
