<p>I am thinking of advising son to perhaps ED at a lower level school. I am looking forward to taking a trip to UT too. If we back out the middle school classes he is about top 15%. Back out freshman year and close to top 10%.</p>

<p>Is it a common belief that someone can do well on the AP Tests and SAT Subject Tests if they are lazy, but smart? I mean, SAT Reasoning is an Aptitude Test, so doing well on it may not prove someone is hard working. However, aren’t AP Tests and SAT Subject Tests considered more like Achievement Tests, requiring hard work to acquire specialized knowledge?</p>
