<p>If you are looking for an extracurricular activity and you love the arts, this would be the perfect opportunity for you to get hands on experience. </p>

<p>Committee members have an unparalleled opportunity to:</p>

<p>-Learn all aspects of producing a performing arts event at UCLA
-Gain an insider’s perspective on world of performing arts management
-Work with other UCLA student organizations and departments
-Attend an offsite orientation with other Committee members
-Vote on all UCLA Student Committee for the Arts actions</p>

<p>And getting comp tickets for UCLAlive shows is a big plus too :)</p>

<p>Last year, we bought Jeff Goldblum to Kerckhoff Grand Salon, UCLA’s first freestyle rap battle to Ackerman, and N<em>gger Wetb</em>ck Ch*nk to the Freud and a dozen other arts events to the campus.</p>

<p>It’s a blast meeting new people and producing all these events. Look for signboards and flyers around campus!</p>

<p>hey orangepie…how competitive is it to get into SCA? and it says you dont need a position…? but then what do you do if you are in SCA with no committee position? i guess i just want to know what my chances are of making it after the interview and all cause its kind of a lengthy app . thanks :)</p>

<p>the competition depends on the number of applicants SCA receives that year. you don’t need to put down a position if you don’t want to, half the committee are general members and do a little bit of everything. last year, there was a 1-on-1 interivew and 2nd group interview if they call you back.</p>

<p>the co-chairs who interview you are really nice so you have nothing to worry about.</p>
