Sva

Dear Sun Kyong,

Thank you for your application for admission to the School of Visual Arts for the Fall 2013 semester. Although you have not been accepted to the undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts program, based upon your level of English proficiency, I would like to offer you admission to the ESL/Studio Program at SVA beginning in the Summer 2013 semester. You are invited to begin your studies in the first semester studio level in the Department of Photography.

Congratulations!

The ESL/Studio Program is a three-semester program that combines BFA undergraduate studio work with intensive study in English as a Second Language (ESL).
The 2013 mandatory summer program begins on Thursday, June 13, 2013 and ends Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
In the fall and spring semesters you will be required to take 12 hours of ESL coursework per semester. Upon successful completion of the ESL/Studio Program, you will have the opportunity to transfer into the BFA program to continue your undergraduate studies at SVA.

In order to accept this offer of admission and to secure a space in the ESL/Studio Program, you will need to submit a nonrefundable enrollment fee of $500 to the Office of Admissions by May 1, 2013. After May 1st your enrollment fee will only be processed if space in the ESL/Studio Program is still available.

As a newly accepted student, you can now log into MySVA, the School of Visual Arts’ online portal at http://my.sva.edu to access important documents and forms. Your MySVA username is: skim165 and your password is “Sva!” followed by your SVA ID number: 1164354. More details are available on the enclosed What’s Next? document and the Quick User Guide for MySVA.

Please be advised that your I-20 paperwork will not be processed until all financial documentation (DOF & VOF) has been submitted and deemed sufficient.

I look forward to welcoming you to SVA during Orientation on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. In the meantime, please feel free to contact the Office of Admissions at 212.592.2100 with any questions.

Sincerely,
Adam Rogers
Director of Admissions
