The official REJECTED thead

thanks.. thats the same as jackie's

Hey guys. I'm sorry to hear you got rejected. I didn't apply, my friend did. She didn't get her letter yet either. And kjayson- stop flipping out. She called the admissions off today, and they told her letters were sent out in random batches, daily, and that her letter wasn't even mailed out yet. You should call too. They could still be making the desicion about your acceptance.

And to the ppl that got rejected: what were your stats and what school did you apply to? My friend applied to Gallatin. And is it true that school is easier to get into?

i applied to gallatin 3.4 sat 1350 .. i havent heard yet .. and it was easier last year and all of the others but it has been getting a lot of publicity from the olsen twins so i dont know if that dramatically increased the apllicant pool.. soprano applied with good stats and was rejected.. its kind of up in the air

i truly wish that is the case Chris but i just called them today and they told me ALL decisions have been mailed out last FRIDAY. I called the fin.aid office and they said they dont have my data.

I guess what kjayson said is true for me. lol

thats not true they told m e something different im me on angerinehotty00 and i'll explain

if people got letters today that were postmarked on the 11th, which was a saturday.. its unlikely that we'll get anything tomorrow becuase the next "postmarkable" day would be sunday which can't happen, so itd have to be monday which means maybe we'll hear something on Friday?....

if that makes any sense at all....

tangerine, what did the financial aid tell you yesterday that was something different from johntam?

Finally got my letter today.

Rejected.

Well, its been nice knowing you guys, those chats were very fun. This is the last time I'll be here at the NYU boards, so bye. UMich, Fordham, Binghamton, Bentley, Loyola, and Villanova are on the rest of my list, maybe I'll have better luck with those.

i am so sorry...
I still did not get it...what the hell...i am rejected...now i am 100% sure about it...I WANT MY LETTER!!

Hey Everyone (namely Jackie since this is her thread), I got rejected too. I cannot put into words how badly this sucks. Congratulations to everyone else who was more fortunate than I and good luck to everyone else!

i havent received any info either...
is it really true - acceptees first, rejectees later? it really does seem like it...
i'm really anxious now. : (

What's up dude? We should keep in touch (Jackie2oo5@aol). It really does suck at first, but it gets better. It felt so ****ty to open the mailbox and see the little letter, right? That's how I was yesterday, and I had a great day today. It's all in how you look at things. Trust me, it's not as bad as you may think it's going to be. Your stats are great, so stay optimistic.

I hope you're still looking at Fordham as an option. And anyone else looking to go to New York (and I know a number of you are also considering Boston U, Northeastern, etc.) please feel free to keep in touch. I'd love to get to know you all. It feels good to know I'm not the only NYC-stubborn kid out there.

Good luck, again.

if any of u rejectees get into a nyc school, keep in contact wit me and we can chill next year, im going to buy unlimited subway thingy lol

Matt- its called a Metro Card lol and it totally would be great to keep in touch. I'm thinking about Fordham.

To Jackie, rhapsody, and all my fellow rejectees....we'll be fine guys. We'll end up at great colleges and have an awesome 4 years and if you really hate it, transfer. Also, keep in mind that anymore it matter much more where you go to grad school no undergrad.

Finally for all that want to keep in touch email is a fabulous invention....brdwy00@hotmail -----> HIT THAT ****!
