what are my chances of getting into Irvine with a UC gpa of 3.5 and a 29 ACT? decent ECs and okay essay
i see people with lower stats getting into my major but uci hasnt come through with anything im honestly so stressed

GPA: 4.25 (UC)
Really good essays I thought personally
2 ROP classes that were both interships
Rejected to UCLA, waitlisted to UCSD, accepted to Davis. Prob gonna end up going to Davis if I don’t get into UCSB or UCI.

Your ACT score is above average (28) but your gpa is a bit on the lower end. I’m guessing it all comes down to the EC/essay + major.

I am still waiting for my decision. I currently applied to computer science as my first choice and computer science and engineering as my alternate.
When I log into my portal, I do see the option to change my major. Any of you guys see this option? Do you guys think I should change my major to a less competitive major to get accepted to UCI? I am also not sure if they will consider the change on my application at this time.
I get why I didn’t get into UCLA, but what really hurt was the waitlist from UCSD! @jackisawesome
