<p>There is a substantial amount of information on UNC on this site. I suggest that you do a search.</p>
<p>UNC is an awesome school…Ever since I was little I wanted to go there but for a few reasons I’ve decided not to attend. You should search this site and check out the UNC site as well. </p>
<p>My stats are average (3.5 GPA, 27 ACT) and my EC’s werent spectacular. And my dad keeps changing jobs and money is tight these days.</p>
<p>I visited the campus and loved everything about it. If you’re out of state, the chances of getting in are very slim unless you have very good stats and a great application. Or if you can dribble a ball.</p>
<p>When I visited, we were told that something like 80% of their applications come from out-of-state students, but due to state law only 19% of new students can be out of state students. So if you work the numbers, 81% of their students are NC residents and can get in easier than out of state students. </p>
<p>Anyways, none of this is meant to deter your interest. UNC-CH is an awesome school and I wish I could go there…I’m thinkin of goin there for Graduate work though in 4 years. Awesome school…definitely check into it if you’re interested.</p>

<p>i dont have many extra curriculars, and i havent taken the SAT’s yet. my weighted GPA is approx a 4.0. do you think i have a chance?</p>

<p>a 4.0 is a great start. sometimes you dont have to have a ton extra curriculars for colleges. sometimes having just a few EC’s that you show alot of dedication to can be your ticket. i’m not totally sure of the avg stats for UNC–but there are others on this site who know these things. </p>
<p>what grade are you in? if your an underclassmen, keep up the good work in class and see what organizations/EC’s are out there for you. colleges like the “well-rounded” students. if you’re a junior or senior, again keep up the good work in class and keep tabs on what colleges like to see and what you’re involved in. </p>
<p>ps–AP classes are a good bonus, if available at your school :)</p>

<p>i’m a junior. im thinking of volunteering at maybe a nursing home or something, im not really sure what to get involved in. im not a sports player. i dance, but thats about it. i really need to get some more EC’s under my belt. any suggestions?</p>
<p>i didnt take any AP classes this year, but im planning on taking 2-3 next year. will that be good, even though i will be a senior?</p>
