Uhh... that's the bare bones of it. So, yeah, am I wasting my time trying to apply to such a good school like UChicago with these stats? Be honest!

you aren't a bad candidate, but what you need is something to make you stand out. get volunteer hours or shadow or intern or do something to prove you can bring something to the UChicago community. Also, be sure to write killer essays. especially for the uncommon app question. Good luck!

Well, I have over 100 volunteer hours. Trying to get an internship 2nd semester (but by then it'll be too late lol)
And I think my essay is good... I think... I hope...?

Fantastic SAT scores! But I have a feeling your GPA is incredibly inflated and therefore I am not entirely sure about your chances ... Good luck though!

;/a>

not top 10 = no admission :( thats a prerequisite... but you have good chance at other places!

;/a>

What other places do you recommend? Just wondering.

Holy, what's with your weighted GPA.

Uh, well, it's on a 6.0 scale.... sooo yep.

Reach, not with that GPA. You need to aim lower, sorry. Nobody I know who's gotten into Chicago had below a 3.85 or been ranked that low.

UChicago requires really good essays, so make sure you polish those well.
Otherwise, you have decent credentials. I wish the best of luck.

Hey everyone!
Thanks for the help and feedback. I applied EA, and UChicago deferred me. Just wanted to let you guys know what happened, if you care. Again, thanks for the help! Wish me luck in the regular applicant pool!
