US military Transfer

How do college admins view those who are in the Military (Army ROTC)? I heard during the 60’/70’s, it was not looked to fondly on. How is it viewed now; good/bad? I am applying to top tier schools.

School: BU College of arts and sciences.
GPA: 3.15
Major: Joint major in Physics/math
Semesters completetd: 2

HS GPA: 3.65
SAT: 1260
APs: 5 taken, all passed (3 and above)

Best,
Blue_Cheeze

Oh, I would also like to add that I am a practicing catholic. How do schools view those who have a specific faith?

number one, colleges are obligated under law not to take faith into consideration. number two, i would imagine that it adds more to your resume then it doesnt.

number three, i think you really should be more concerned about the gpa. that’s what’s going to make/break your admisson.

I have had only 2 complete semesters worth of courses (my “first semester” was funded by the passing of AP tests). Since I am applying for fall transfer of 2006, how will they take into account my spring semesters GPA?

So no further input on a prospective military transfer?
