<p>During what application year is the competition to the top 25 schools going to decline and by how much in contrast to preceding years?</p>

<p>after the birth rate boom goes down which last time I seen the charts was 1991 So after class of 09 enters college.</p>

<p>Can’t imagine it will decline much–unless the current trend of everyone applying everywhere (15 schools?) just to see if they will get in, reverses.</p>

<p>It’s always been that way, people have always applied to many colleges to see where they get in, it’s going to decline because there was a baby boom in the 1989,1990 and 1991 these are the kids going into college right now their high school seniors, juniors and sophomores. After the class of 09 graduates from high school and enters college then the kids born in 1992 are going to start entering college and its not going to be so many kids applying at once.</p>
