Which colleges should I apply to?

Hi,

I’m an international senior currently doing my apps, but I have a few tough decisions to make regarding my college choices. I am somewhat undecided with my major, although a Physics/History double major seems most likely. My plan is to go to graduate school in the US (or my home country) to study Architecture (MArch I), Urban Planning/Design, or Civil Engineering. As such I want my undergraduate education to give me the best possible platform for preparing a grad school application to the top schools.

Colleges that I am deciding between:
Georgetown
Wash U
Northwestern
NYU
Haverford
Vassar

These are all very different schools, but they all appeal to me in their different ways. However, which schools would give me the best chance for graduate school? Given what I plan to pursue, is Georgetown a good option for my undergrad?

I’ve heard that science isn’t too great at GU, Washington and NYU and as a prospective physics major this is a little worrying. Is this a well-founded concern?

If I decided to pursue a graduate program in Architecture, I’d need to take a few art/art history classes. Are any of these colleges outstanding in this department?

Are there any other colleges that you suggest? I’ve looked at most LACs and the ones that I have listed, as well as Swarthmore, are what appeal to me the most. Pomona and Bowdoin seemed attractive choices, but I couldn’t picture myself there. I can’t apply to state schools as I need financial aid (roughly 25-50%).

Thanks for reading.
