Which UK universities are held in high regard by US employers?

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum and am currently a student in my final year of high school. I am about to apply to university in the UK and was wondering if any of you could give me some advice about which universities i should pick.

Thing is, i really want to live/work in the US in the future and i'm not Oxford, Cambridge material. I know it is tough for me to land a job in the US straight away and so am wondering, which British universities are well known/held in high regard by US employers?

St. Andrews

If you are not a US citizen or legal permanent resident, your chance of finding a job here right out of university is vanishingly small. So, choose a university that will lead to a job with an employer in your own country that also has branch offices in the US After you have several solid years of work experience, you can apply for transfer to one of the offices here. At that point, your work experience will be much more important than where you studied.

I suggest you look for a job in a multinational company in the UK that might then transfer you back to the US. UK firms, including banks and other financial institutions, have a strong presence in the US and, vice-versa, US multinationals usually have large UK branches.
