Will taking Spanish 3 but not taking Spanish 1 and 2 count as 3 levels of foreign language?

If your college requires 4 levels, you’re better off with College Language 3, but since it’s not possible, you’ll have Middle School Spanish 1+2 (which you’ll write on your commonapp self-written transcript) and 2 levels of college Arabic.
To make sure you’d be okay you can email your colleges and say something like this:
"
Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
My name is … … and I am very interested in … College. I will be applying for Admission for Fall 2016 and am a rising senior. Because I didn’t fill out forms on time, Spanish 1&2, which I took when I was in middle school, will not be taken into account by my high school, which thus decided I couldn’t enroll in Spanish 3. I take full responsibility for this oversight but see this as an opportunity to learn a language I’ve always been interested in, Arabic. My high school allows seniors to register at … College, so I will be able to take Arabic 1 &2 at the college level after self studying over the summer. Would this be sufficient to meet the language requirements for admissions at … College, since I’ve been told this would cover the equivalent of Arabic 1-3 or 1-4 in a high school?
Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
… …
