What are my chances of receiving merit based aid at Temple?

I have an unweighted GPA of around 3.87 (weighted around 4.45) and an ACT score of 31. I'm currently a junior and am taking 5 IB classes my 11th and 12th year. My family is not eligible for need based aid but my parents will be paying for only 20k of the 40 or so thousand. Does anyone know the possibilities of temple granting me some merit scholarships?

Also, are standardized test scores valued over other factors?

Test scores very much are valued in merit awards at Temple. The awards vary year to year based on the caliber of applicants. They no longer guarantee scholarships. I know someone from this year with your same stats and OOS and they got $9000 and then at the last minute another $3000. Still not quite enough and much more affordable offers elsewhere. They committed somewhere else. What state are you from?

Thank you! I will plan on taking the ACT again and hopefully raise it a point or two with luck...I'm from Missouri, I'm hoping to get a bit of credit with my IBs, hopefully that will decrease costs a bit!
