Formatting on ApplyTexas

I mentioned the title of a book in one of my essays, but the formatting takes away the italics and underlining.

Would it be best to leave the title alone or put it in quotation marks (although it is a long work of fiction) to attempt to distinguish it?

I would do the quotes but I suspect it doesn't matter. The schools must be used to formatting being stripped from the applications.
