Getting Degree Conferred

edited June 2011 in Transfer Students
Hello everyone,

I just recently finished my last class needed for my AA during summer A, and I've been informed that my degree won't confer until the end of all summer sessions (August 6th for my school I believe.). I plan on transferring to USF in the fall for Elementary Education, but the application deadline is August 1st. Does anyone know how I'll be able to get my degree conferred before then?

Does it matter? Just say on your application "expected August 2011" and note that all coursework has been completed.

I'm waiting on a response back from the college, but the last time I spoke with them, at orientation, they told me they would only accept an official degree.

Your CC should be able to provide a formal letter that states that you have fulfilled all of the requirements, and that the degree will be conferred on X date.
