Financial Aid Info for Admitted Students

edited February 2011 in Tufts University
I was recently admitted as an ED2 applicant and saw that my decision was available when I logged into my Tufts Application Management System account (TAMS). However, my financial aid package was not available or up yet at the time. My question is when will this link become available? Also, do they tell you of your financial aid package in your physical acceptance letter that you recieve in the mail? If so, has anyone recieved their's yet? When should I expect this? Any help at all would be great!

I got in ED 1 and never checked online for my aid info. Timeline: online acceptance on Friday, letter arrives on Wednesday, aid arrives Friday after that. So two weeks from first notice to aid letter.

I got accepted ED2 and my financial aid package isn't available yet. I'm not sure if my parent's tax return made it there, so I had to re-email it to someone. I'm guessing they should be available quite soon, since the $600 tuition down payment is due March 10th.

I figure I'm going to be a ton of debt either way.

^^^ Maybe not. Our aid is usually pretty fair. Once the package arrives, and if you feel comfortable, share whether the package was close to what you need.

I feel like aid was fairly horrible this year. ): My family really can't afford it with the near-zero package I got...

I also heard of a few other kids (in the Facebook group) who got into a similar situation.

Not saying that you won't get anything, of course, it's on a case-to-case basis...

We were pleasantly surprised at our FA package. It was not the determining factor for our family, but it was the best package we got. With two in college this year and next, we appreciated it!

For students who applied RD, when do the decisions come out, both acceptance/denial and financial aid?

Last year, decisions came out the afternoon of March 31st, and FA was about a week later.
