Textbooks at Tufts

Does anyone know what textbooks are used for the premed classes (bio, chem, orgo, and physics) at Tufts?

I want to see if I can buy an old copy on ebay ahead of time so that I can save some money.

I agree..... I can probably grab a Third world edition for a tenth of the price... is there anyone who knows? Or atleast anyone who knows who knows?

There is no way to find that out until you get there for classes. This is true for every semester. Teachers teaching the same class don't always use the same books and maybe even not the same ones year to year. (Business wise you can see how the bookstore doesn't want to give out that info before hand because it would lose a ton of money). However, there are a lot of used books at the bookstore and you can, once you get to tufts, just go into the bookstore and write down the books. The downside to that is you are very likely going to need those books on the first day of class and that doesn't leave much time for shipping. But everyone finds a way somehow.

The Tufts senate is trying to make booklists available before the beginning of the semester, not sure when that is going to be happening though.

Actually, you can call the department and try to hassle (politely of course...) for the ISBN numbers, or at least the titles of the books. However, you can get mixed results with this. I've gotten ISBN numbers for one class book list (hence, ordered them used online and much cheaper), but no information for others.

Actually, I just asked my host advisor for help and he forwarded me onto someone - he says it shouldnt be a problem to get the book list. Im waiting to hear more though.
