Does the TAG application have an essay section?

Hello, I'm trying to transfer through the TAG program. However, I'm quite not ready to proceed just yet since I still have to finish filling out the TAP forms. I just want to know if there's any lengthy writing portion on the TAG app itself so I can set aside time to write a decent one since writing/grammar is my greatest weakness as a student.

And, is a paragraph enough to explain gap years in the TAP application or do they expect an essay?

Sorry, I'm fairly new to this. I had initially planned to only apply through general application. I only found out recently that I am a TAG candidate. TY in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply Ohm888.

Follow up question: If part of the reason for the gap is medical issue, should I provide details? Is it necessary or do they not care or want to be burdened by it?

Is simply saying "I was dealing with a medical issue which has since been resolved" sufficient to cover the medical part of the reason?

Yes, that's fine. Later they will send a request for more info around January. They always do that with gaps, even if you explained in detail. You can go into more detail then.
