UCL vs. University of Edinburgh Business

Hi all!

I'm in quite a dilemma.

I am currently in my senior year of high school in Canada. I've been accepted to both UCL for their MSci Information Management for Business programme and the University of Edinburgh for their MA (Hons) Business with Marketing programme.

The cost of living in London if I were to go to UCL is significantly more expensive than Edinburgh. However, UCL as a school, as I've been told, is higher ranked. (Please give me your opinion on that!) I've never been to Edinburgh, but I've visited London many times.

My main goal in regards to my career is to secure a well paying job in business, management and marketing.

The IMB programme at UCL interested me because of the IT aspect, possibly giving me an edge when it comes to future employment. My worry is that it may be too focused in IT... Here is a list of the courses.

UCL is a better school and in London there are far better job opportunities. You could get work experience or an internship during term time which would likely advance your career.

If you have a chance to visit though, I would encourage going with your gut on which school is a better fit for you. Nothing beats enjoying your time at university - you will be more movitated to work hard and end up with a first class degree, make long-lasting friendships and even professional relationships, and just have the best time of your life!
