You'll need to apply to start over in the first year at a UK university, so it won't be a US-style transfer where grades carry over and count towards your final degree. However, it will help in that your first year grades in the US can act as an academic qualification if you don't have the AP scores from HS that UK universities usually need.

You don't have a lot of time left if you're talking about applying now for admission in 2020 as the deadline for UCAS (the common application system used in the UK) is 15 January. A very few allow rolling applications direct or via the US Common App, eg St Andrews.

    Or are you thinking ahead?

Then plan your courses: take ones related to the subject you are planning to apply to study.
