My S just received a textbook from Chegg. It is a rental (and far cheaper than SUPE rental)...but it was in VERY poor condition - like the front cover was completely ripped off and taped back together and so forth. Chegg has excellent customer service, and he is getting a replacement. I noticed that the rental price has gone up for a couple of his books now. Keep checking various options, as prices do fluctuate. (One of his rental's went down $112 in the space of a week.)

Wait til first week. Order or rent from Chegg.com. Some professors will tell you not to buy.

Another tip: don't open the web assign subscription cards until you are certain the professor requires them. Once you break the seal, they are nonrefundable.
