Anyone taken Southern Border?

I feel like I'm dyying in the class! It's so friggin boring, not nearly as interesting as I was hoping it would be.
I think it's way too history/politics based, and I like neither of those.
Question is: How are the midterms (or even the final)? I've heard horror stories! How did you study for them? (for people who have taken it) or how did your friends study? There's already like 300 pages of info and I'm feeling pretty...overwhelmed.
