No pass or W?

Hi,
Well, I am having some problems with a general education class I'm taking, I made this class pass, no pass, at the beginning of the quarter because I knew that I was not going to be able to get a good grade but thought I could pass it. Now, when the quarter is ending I'm almost 100% sure I'm not gonna pass it. So, my question is is it better to just receive a no pass grade, or drop it and get a W. My goal is to go to a good graduate school, and I want to base my decision on what's more convenient to be admitted to a good one. Thanks.
