UCI Waitlist student housing?

Hello, I got off the waitlist a couple days ago. I heard that uci does not guarantee housing for students who got off the waitlist? Is this true?

@beatingfire Congrats on getting in off the waitlist. I think that housing isn't guaranteed for those who got in off the waitlist, but I got in off the waitlist and later received a housing offer. Make sure to submit your housing application as soon as possible, in order to maximize the likelihood of getting an offer. Good luck!

@beatingfire congrats! I was told by UCI Student Housing that anyone admitted off the waitlist after May 1 would have missed the housing application deadline and would be on the waitlist for housing. As pinceofla said, get that housing application in asap to save your spot on the waitlist. A current UCI student said on another thread that he was on the housing waitlist when he came as a freshman but eventually got a room and housing contract just days before the start of classes.
