    "10th Grade
Regional Speller"<<<makes me laugh cuz you spelled chances wrong in the title of the post

all joking aside, strong grades (although i dont know which classes are weighted...), ECs look good, do decent on the ACT and you'll be in good shape...good luck!

Do you attend a competitive school?
    What is your ethnic backgroud?
    Define your socioeconomic class.

Even though you may have great SATs/ACT, etc. those three questions weigh heavily into the decision.

Also, don't forget your SAT IIs.

competitive school?.. umm.. nope... wouldn't say so
    ethnic background... Mexican American

    Okay...

Now, this is not the absolutely for certain. Applicant pools differ each year and the way UCLA's admission is set up, it is difficult to predict.

I say you're pretty good for admissions--it is not guarenteed!!! As you may have noticed, there are those who complain that UCLA is randomly accepting people (as if) and there have been those that are perfect for UCLA but rejected ultimately.

But, just keep doing what you're doing and if you do get rejected, keep a positive attitude and no doubt other doors will open for you (Ivy maybe? hmmm?)

    Good luck and keep focused.

    busti06:

From your subject and main question, are you implying that UCLA is an Ivy League university?

    "High School:
2A = VERY SMALL!!... umm... no more than 350 ppl in school "

LOL is that a reference to SCSBOA or WBA band divisions?

by the way, good post eiffielguy. we need to tell all prospective applicants that.
